The Dell Precision 5680 is a true workhorse
The Dell Precision 5680 is a true workhorse, seamlessly handling demanding tasks with its robust performance. The thoughtful placement of the HDMI port enhances connectivity convenience. However, the absence of a few USB-A ports is a minor inconvenience, necessitating the use of a dongle for additional peripherals. Despite this drawback, the Precision 5680 impresses with its reliability and power, making it an excellent choice for professional workloads.
A powerful development laptop
The 5680 is a great business computer that can power multiple 4k screens and provide a great development environment. The initial setup was a little a tricky with a dock that we purchased, but that was figured out and it works great with it now.
Even better than anticipated.
This Precision 5680 Workstation has a crisp, bright display, and excellent keyboard feel . It is my replacement for a venerable Dell M6400, and, in addition to being about half the weight and consuming significantly less power, it has already demonstrated some of the improved capability for which it was purchased, especially speed and endurance in battery operation. It was delivered ahead of schedule, cleverly packaged with excellent protection, and the Dell initialization routine was seamless and efficient. Overall, I seem to be initiating another long and rewarding chapter with a Dell portable workstation.

It's really hard to believe just how incredible the 5680 workstation operates while being so compact. I've had quite a few Dell workstations throughout my career in product design and I can say with ease this machine is by far the best for CAD use.

Fantastic machine. My company wanted to start upgrading our work computers and after trying a couple other brands we decided to try Dell. The 5680 is everything we could have wanted in a computer. All of our computers going forward will be from the Dell Precision line. Perfect performance and easy to travel with.
